Our season opens with a blaze of energy and grandeur as the PSO brasses perform Dukas’ “Fanfare” from La Peri. Israeli-born pianist Orli Shaham will reveal the many musical surprises that make Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto sound so fresh. Prokofiev composed his Fifth Symphony during wartime, yet it is full of wit, power, and generous lyricism.

This concert will last approximately 2 hours and be performed with one intermission.
