Cello-bration!

Cello lovers everywhere, rejoice! Each work on this program showcases the deep, honeyed tones of this beautiful instrument. The William Tell Overture, while most familiar for the “Lone Ranger” theme, features gorgeous cello ensembles, as does Shostakovich’s youthful First Symphony.

  • Tonight’s concert is scheduled to go on as planned - we’ll see you at Merrill at 7:30pm for the concert or in the Rehearsal Hall at 6:45pm for the Concert Conversation!
  • Did you know? Joel Noyes is the son of PSO musicians Richard and Clorinda Noyes and is a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
