Educational background: Interlochen Arts Academy, 2002; Cleveland Institute of Music, BM, 2006; Boston University, MM, 2010

What non-PSO musical activities do you participate in? In the summer I can be found participating in Spoleto USA in Charleston, SC, or Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan. During the year I play concerts with the Rhode Island Philharmonic in Providence and next year will be playing with the Kansas City Symphony. I also teach in Boston and collaborate with living composers.

What’s your favorite PSO memory to date? My favorite’s included Sibelius #2, The Chairman Dances, Transfigured Night, Death and Transfiguration. I also enjoyed doing works by contemporary composers Joseph Schwantner and Christopher Theofanidis. My favorite Pops memory was doing the Magic of Christmas.

Any non-musical hobbies? I enjoy watching documentaries, going to museums, cooking and spending time with friends and animals.

What is your favorite music? What are you currently listening to? My favorite composer is Schubert and my favorite pieces are his piano trios, Beethoven and Brahms’ sonatas for violin, viola, cello and piano, string quartets by Felix Mendelssohn and Beethoven Symphony #7. I also enjoy Jazz, Rock, Soul, Pop and more experimental Classical. I am currently listening to Cleo Laine, “Live in Manhattan”.
