Steve Lippia Headlines “Simply Sinatra” Show with PSO
PORTLAND, Maine – The Portland Symphony Orchestra Pops! and Music Director Robert Moody present “Simply Sinatra” with guest artist Steve Lippia on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14 at Merrill Auditorium. This swinging show, featuring hits like “Cheek to Cheek,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “My Way” and more, introduces a new generation to the timeless music of Frank Sinatra, while appealing to long-time listeners.
With great stage presence, Steve Lippia pulls his audience back in time to a comfort zone rarely seen on concert stages today. An incomparable Frank Sinatra interpreter, his high-impact, high-energy show ranges from powerful to subtle, sassy to wistful, elegant to sublime. Lippia has headlined to standing-room-only crowds at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York City, backed by the Nelson Riddle and Woody Herman Orchestras. He has also enjoyed extended engagements at the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and the Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
