Annual Wine Dinner & Auction
March 15, 2017
Harraseeket Inn, Freeport
Featuring Austrian, French, and German Wines
“It is such a pleasure to be a part of this annual event that brings together three of the best parts of Portland; tremendous food, excellent wine, and incredible music.” – Maestro Robert Moody
Our annual Wine Dinner brings together fine wine, five of Portland’s top chefs, excellent music, and one-of-a-kind auction items that together create an unforgettable evening. This is the PSO’s largest fundraiser of the year, and all funds raised are put towards helping us achieve our mission of serving our community by enriching lives through music.
This year, we will be featuring Austrian, French, and German wines from Schatzi Wines. This event promises to be a culinary experience of world-class food paired with superb wines. Chefs, representing the best Maine has to offer in creative cuisine, will prepare each course to complement the wine selections. Our chefs for this year’s event include:
Sam Hayward: Fore Street and Scales, Portland
Brian Hill: Francine Bistro, Camden
Krista Kern Desjarlais: The Purple House, North Yarmouth and Bresca & the Honey Bee, New Gloucester
Troy Mains: Harraseeket Inn, Freeport
Cara Stadler: Tao Yuan, Brunswick, BaoBao Dumpling House and Lio, Portland
The silent, live, and online auctions feature diverse and unique items donated by Maine artists and businesses in support of the PSO. They include exciting getaways, event tickets, fine dining, jewelry and more!
If you are interested in purchasing tickets to this event, donating an auction item, or becoming a sponsor, please contact Samantha Scarf at (207) 773-6128 ext 306. Tickets are $200 per person and $2,000 per table (seating 10 people.) $125 of each ticket is tax deductible. Price includes five-course meal and wine pairings. Proceeds from this dinner enable the Symphony to enrich the lives of over 100,000 children and adults each season. Home to 82 professional musicians, we perform on stage, in schools, in hospitals, in homes – venues where we can make the biggest difference. Help strengthen our ability to bring the benefits of music to everyone in our community.
